You said that "Creationists believe that God created the basic types of plants and animals, and then genetic variation went on from there. God made the basic types of birds including: hummingbird, woodpecker, parrot, pigeon, sparrow, duck, and so forth. Each type had a lot of capacity for genetic variability as we see in dogs."

So my question is where in the Bible does it show this to be the case?

If you read this Quinn check out his quote mining of Darwin (yep he pulled that tired old one about the human eye). I have given him the full quote and have asked him nicely to correct this error and to apologize for it. So far he has ignored it just like he has ignored your fantastic comment.

Personally I think this website is here just to advertise Creationist crap.

Please take a basic high-school level Biology class before you knock evolution. You evidently have a very distorted understnading of genes. A gene is a section of DNA, and when different sections of DNA move around, they can produce completely different traits. The idea that a species needs to acquire new genetic material that its parents didn't have in order to evolve is wrong. Much of evolution comes from mutations in genes, which occur naturally when the mother & father's chromosomes combine. It only takes a tiny bit of DNA moving to a slightly different spot to produce a very different trait, and mutations occur quite often. If a mutation helps an animal survive and reproduce, then that mutation is passed down to its children, and it spreads as the children have children, etc. Blue eyes, for example, were a mutation many thousands of yeas ago. Humans found blue eyes attractive in a mate, and so humans with blue eyes mated more, having more children, and spreading the blue eye gene. Now its quite common to see people with blue eyes. So please inform yourself about what exactly "evolutionists" believe, because your arguments against evolution make no sense.
