The vet has confirmed that Lilly is practically deaf. We are not surprised since she is an older doggie. She can’t hear anything but very loud noises and she can’t hear the human voice, apparently. This will make it a little more difficult to take care of her, but we are committed to giving her a happy home. She is "almost" potty trained. She will go potty outside if you take her outside, but so far, she doesn’t seem to want to go out the doggie door by herself.
Our two other doggies go out the doggie door often to investigate noises. We were hoping that Lilly would follow the other dogs out, but she just sleeps through the commotion since she can’t hear it.
