My Reviews of My Favorite Books with Evidence that God Exists

The books below all have scientific evidence that show that life on earth is a miracle not a product of time and chance. The things I learned in these books convince me that there is the need for a Creator, and thus there is a God. (There are many other books that I have read and recommend.)

The Young Earth by John D. Morris, PhD The Young Earth by John D. Morris, PhD Read The Young Earth Online The author, a geological engineer, describes the geological systems of the earth, dating methods, including radiometric dating, and shows that the Earth was made within thousands, not millions, of years. There is not the millions of years required be evolutionists to prove that life began spontaneously as a product of time and chance.

By Design: Evidence for Nature’s Intelligent Design — The God of the Bible by Dr. Jonathan Safarti By Design: Evidence for Nature’s Intelligent Design — The God of the Bible by Dr. Jonathan Safarti The author is a chess champion, as well as a scientist. He uses logic, as well as science, to talk about aspects in living things with indicate the need for a designer.

Darwin's Black BoxDarwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution by Michael J. Behe The author is a biochemist at Lehigh University. He examines the cell close up and describes all of the inner workings. He compares the cell to a large city with food delivery and trash pickup. Behe coined the term “irreducible complexity” and concluded that life on earth was intelligently designed.

Darwin’s Enigma by Luther D. Sunderland Darwin’s Enigma by Luther D. Sunderland In 1859, in the book Origin of the Species, Charles Darwin said: Why, if species have descended from other species by insensibly fine gradations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms. Now over 100 years later, Sutherland wrote letters to the paleontologists of the world’s largest museums and asked each one what fossils of transitional forms they had in their collections. None of the paleontologists had a single fossil of a transitional form.

Bones of Contention: A Creationist Assessment of Human Fossils by Marvin L. Lubenow Bones of Contention: A Creationist Assessment of Human Fossils by Marvin L. Lubenow This book analyzes all of the hominid fossils. The appendix has a very detailed discussion of the dating of the fossil skull KNM-ER 1470. The science journal “Nature” published their research regarding this skull and their papers are quoted extensively in the appendix. According to the many quotes from “Nature” it took a period of ten years to date this one fossil skull. This skull caused a big controversy in the scientific community. This ten year process is detailed step by step using the words of the researchers, themselves. There were many dates given by the various radiometric dating techniques. But, the scientists could not agree on the “right” date of the many that were given by the various techniques. The author shows that a lot of the science related to the fossils and evolution is subjective, not objective as science should be.

Buried Alive: The Startling Truth About Neanderthal Man by Jack Cuozzo Buried Alive: The Startling Truth About Neanderthal Man by Jack Cuozzo The author, an orthodontist, went all over Europe into the back rooms of the largest museums and examined actual fossil skulls of Neanderthals. Most museums only have cast copies of the skulls and most scientists have never seen a real one. He got permission to x-ray the skulls and there are pictures in the book. He shows that the skulls have been put together improperly with the jaw jutting out. Because of the belief in evolution the jaw has been put in a more ape like fashion in all Neanderthal skulls. Then, these improperly assembled skulls were copied and sent museums all over the world. The evidence for human evolution is based upon the belief in human evolution. There is no objective data.

Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth? by Jonathan Wells Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth? Why Much of What We Teach About Evolution is Wrong by Jonathan Wells Read the introduction to Icons of Evolution. This book discusses the supposed evidence for evolution as taught in text books. The author describes in detail the Miller-Urey experiment, Darwin’s tree of life, Darwin’s finches, the horse series, Haeckel’s embryos, peppered moths, and several other topics. This author is one of the people interviewed in the book above entitled The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God.

The Case for a Creator: by Lee Strobel The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God by Lee Strobel The author was an atheist journalist. When his wife became a Christian he went all over the USA and interviewed scientists and others about why they believed in God. After interviewing many people who gave scientific evidence for their faith, he became convinced that God exists. This book has the interviews that convinced him that God exists. Two of the men he interviewed, Jonathan Wells (Icons of Evolution) and Michael Behe ( Darwin’s Black Box), wrote books that are on this reading list. My story is similar to Strobel’s. I was so excited to see that God’s existence can be proven scientifically I made this website to tell others.

In Six Days: Edited by John F. Ashton PhD. In Six Days: Why Fifty Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation Edited by John F. Ashton PhD. Read “In Six Days” Online This might be my favorite of all the books on this list. The editor compiled papers by fifty scientists. Each chapter is by a different scientist who gives aspects from each field that cannot be explained by purely physical means. Each scientist gives the reasons why he believes that God created the universe, the earth, plants and animals in six days as the Bible book of Genesis describes. It has detailed scientific explanations. There is a sequel to this book entitled On the Seventh Day: Forty Scientists and Academics Explain Why They Believe in God which is listed below.

On the Seventh Day: Edited by John F. Ashton PhD. On the Seventh Day: Forty Scientists and Academics Explain Why They Believe in God Edited by John F. Ashton PhD. This is the sequel to the book In Six Days: Why Fifty Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation discussed above.

Many Infallible Proofs: by Henry M. Morris Many Infallible Proofs: Evidences for the Christian Faith by Henry M. Morris This book has a great deal of scientific evidence for the belief in God. It discusses evidence for a world wide flood which caused the fossil record and the large amount of buried foliage that became gas, coal and oil. It has a chapter on The Bible and Science which lists things that were in the Bible before science knew about it, including the circulation of blood, the water cycle, the shape of the earth and the number of stars. The Bible verses for each are listed.

The Answers Book by Ken Ham The Answers Book by Ken Ham Read The Answers Book Online This book has all the answers to the many common questions people often have about creation and evolution such as: Who was Cain’s Wife? What about Carbon 14 Dating? How did all the animals fit on Noah’s Ark? How do Dinosaurs fit in with Creation? Each chapter is on a different topic, and it is a very easy to read.

Everybody is endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights

Today is the Fourth of July, Independence Day in the United States of America.

Here is a portion of the Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The signers of this document state that rights come from the Creator. It is no longer fashionable, and sometimes not even permissible, for somebody in government to claim that there is a Creator, much less speak about a Creator in public documents.

In my humble opinion, it is more difficult to believe that there is no creator than it is to believe in a creator.

If one believes that there is no creator, one must believe that all life, including human life, came about by a process of time and chance.

Bill Gates once said:

Human DNA is like a computer program but far, far more advanced than any software ever created. (Gates, The Road Ahead, Penguin: London, Revised, 1996 p. 228)

Human DNA is more complex than computer software. Think about it – Would anybody believe that computer programs come about be a process of time and chance? No, of course not. Computer programs need a programmer — and DNA needed a Creator.

I am always prepared to give the reason for the hope that I have

This is one of my favorite Bible verses:

“… Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have …”
1 Peter 3:15

The reason for the hope that I have is my faith in God. But, more than that, the reason for the hope that I have is that I am convinced that there is scientific proof that there is a God.

My faith in God came slowly over the course of nine months (like a baby in the womb) in 1996 until it came crashing into me like a bolt of lightning.  I am in my fifties and I have believed in God for only 13 years. (See My Testimony for more information)

During those nine months, I learned that as Creator of the universe, God left his fingerprints all over his creation so that we can see that it is his handiwork. For over 40 years I was too blind to see the evidence. Now that I see the evidence, I do not know how I ever missed it.

There are many other people like me – people who look right into the face of God and cannot see it. This is the reason I like to tell other people the reasons why I believe in God.

So, how am I prepared to give the answer to everyone who asks me to give the reason for the hope that I have? I have my Reasons Why I Believe in God here in my website: X-Evolutionist.com.

In my website, I have endeavored to show the evidence that God left us to show that He is indeed the creator of the universe. I talk about the fossil record, dinosaurs, Charles Darwin, different breeds of dogs, and other topics, and show how the scientific evidence shows that life did not begin as a product of time and chance. Life required a creator, therefore God exists.

Most of you reading this, if you have made it down this far, think I am a crackpot. That does not bother me one bit. I am confident in my beliefs, and am certain the evidence supports them. I am also confident that once somebody looks at the evidence, as I did, they will see what I see.

As I said in my testimony, 13 years ago a creationist (crackpot, as I thought then) dared me to read a book. Zowie. How my life has changed since then….

Is evolution really proven by science? Take a look inside the cell and see for yourself.

One of my favorite books of all time is: Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution by Michael J. Behe:

The “Black Box’ is the cell. This book describes the inner workings of the cell. The cell is compared to a major city, with food delivery and trash pickup services.

Another one of my favorite books of all time is The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God by Lee Strobel

The Case for a Creator: by Lee Strobel

Lee Strobel was an atheist journalist. His wife became a Christian and it blew his mind. Afterwards, he went all over the USA and interviewed scientists about why they believed in God.

After interviewing many people who gave scientific evidence for their faith, he became convinced that God exists.

Michael Behe is one of the scientists that Lee Strobel interviewed. The Case for a Creator follows Strobel’s journey as the evidence stacks up against evolution and convinces him that God exists.

The video below has some of the information that convinced Lee Strobel that life required a creator, and thus there is a God.

As you will see in the video, there is an amazing piece of machinery called the bacterial flagellum in some cells.

When Michael Behe, biochemist, Lehigh University first saw the bacterial flagellum, he said “this is an outboard motor”:

As Behe says in the video:

Darwinism was a lot more plausible when we were thinking of globs of protoplasm than it is when we are thinking of molecular machines.

Bacteria is said, by mainstream science, to be among the first life-forms to evolve. Bacteria is called “simple life”. Is it really simple? Watch the video and see for yourself.

Another concept Behe talks about in his book and in this video is what he calls “Irreducible Complexity”.

Irreducible Complexity is where all of the parts have to be together in the beginning for anything to work. His famous example is a mousetrap. He talks about this concept in the video.

Charles Darwin said: in chapter six of Origin of Species:

“If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.”

Is evolution really a fact? Watch this video. You may be surprised.

Little Red Riding Hood took a basket of goodies to her Grandmother’s house

I’ll bet nobody posts in this blog entry to disagree with that statement. It is a fairy tale.

But, I believe that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). I’m told that is a fairy tale too. But, these two “fairy tales” are treated differently…

I am asked time and time and again to justify my belief that God created the heavens and the earth. Why?

Why am I asked to justify what people think is a fairy tale? Does the fact that I believe what I say and don’t back down intimidate people?

Just wondering…
