My Favorite Bible Verses

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

1 Samuel 16:7 “… The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

My Favorite Bible Translation

I read the New International Version of the Bible. I came to believe in God late in life, and I find this version to be very easy to read. It is written in modern English as we speak it today. The NIV website says this about it:

The New International Version is a completely new translation of the Holy Bible made by more than a 100 scholars working directly from the best-available Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.

    I went to http://www.icr.org/ and the 1st article I saw was “Did Dragonflies Really Predate Dinosaurs?” so read the article and was surprised to see no answer to that question. If this is the level of most articles on that website then it’ s rather poor wouldn’t you say?

    A quote from the same article “However, if most fossils were deposited in just one year by the worldwide Flood of Noah, then the geologic “periods” are not separated by millions of years. Instead, they represent different biomes” but wouldn’t a flood be extremely violent. Isn’t that why you apparently get fossil sea life above what is land based life? Therefore biomes would be mixed wouldn’t they. Therefore what Brian Thomas, the author of this crap, is saying is wrong.

    Same article “In fact, the biggest difference between modern and fossil dragonflies is that many of the fossilized ones were several times larger, some having wingspans of over three feet! If anything, dragonflies have “devolved,” not evolved.” can someone please explain to this idiot that evolution is change over time and that populations of organisms change via natural selection and random mutation to become adapted to the environment. So if the environment changes, and there is no suggestion in this article that it doesn’t, then the dragonflies becoming smaller is indeed dragonfly populations evolving.

    Again the same article “In fact, since fossilized and living dragonflies share the same structure, they show no sign either of millions of years or of evolution. This is because, like man-made flying machines, dragonflies were also recently and purposely designed.” Err didn’t he just that “If anything, dragonflies have “devolved,” not evolved.” so he says that they changed but that then he says that they haven’t. That doesn’t make sense. Also the design of man-made flying machines has changed over the hundred or so year we have had them.

    Another point isn’t what he is saying directly contradicts your point about “Each basic kind of animal has the capacity for adapting to any ecological zone they come across.” ?
