This is one of my favorite Bible verses:
“… Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have …”
1 Peter 3:15
The reason for the hope that I have is my faith in God. But, more than that, the reason for the hope that I have is that I am convinced that there is scientific proof that there is a God.
My faith in God came slowly over the course of nine months (like a baby in the womb) in 1996 until it came crashing into me like a bolt of lightning. I am in my fifties and I have believed in God for only 13 years. (See My Testimony for more information)
During those nine months, I learned that as Creator of the universe, God left his fingerprints all over his creation so that we can see that it is his handiwork. For over 40 years I was too blind to see the evidence. Now that I see the evidence, I do not know how I ever missed it.
There are many other people like me – people who look right into the face of God and cannot see it. This is the reason I like to tell other people the reasons why I believe in God.
So, how am I prepared to give the answer to everyone who asks me to give the reason for the hope that I have? I have my Reasons Why I Believe in God here in my website: X-Evolutionist.com.
In my website, I have endeavored to show the evidence that God left us to show that He is indeed the creator of the universe. I talk about the fossil record, dinosaurs, Charles Darwin, different breeds of dogs, and other topics, and show how the scientific evidence shows that life did not begin as a product of time and chance. Life required a creator, therefore God exists.
Most of you reading this, if you have made it down this far, think I am a crackpot. That does not bother me one bit. I am confident in my beliefs, and am certain the evidence supports them. I am also confident that once somebody looks at the evidence, as I did, they will see what I see.
As I said in my testimony, 13 years ago a creationist (crackpot, as I thought then) dared me to read a book. Zowie. How my life has changed since then….
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
