Unless you are perfect, you have no right to criticize anybody else.

I am a Christian. As a Christian, I am very disappointed by something that a lot of other people who identify themselves as “Christians” are doing. Way too many people think it is their responsibility to condemn homosexuals, for instance, or people just because they don’t believe in God, or other people they don’t think are living right.

I cringe every time I hear somebody calling themselves a Christian acting hatefully to anybody. It is just not right.

The first thing is that Jesus was not judgmental as these “Christians” of whom I speak are. In fact, Jesus was most judgmental against the church leaders of his day, the Pharisees. (in my humble opinion, there are a lot of Pharisees still running some of the biggest churches.)

Filed under My Faith, Reasons Why I Believe in God

The Apostles Creed

Shortly after I became a Christian I heard about The Apostles’ Creed:

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

AMEN.
